Avatar Kyoshi Cosplay
So for Shutocon (in Lansing MI) at the beginning of April (first weekend) one of the characters I have decided to do is my favorite character from Avatar the Last Airbender, Avatar Kyoshi :) I chose to do her statue version (Seen in Season 1 episode 4 "The Warriors of Kyoshi, and Season 2 Episode 5 "Avatar Day") This version is not done as often...but I LOVE this version because it is a lot simpler than her warrior gear in other flash backs in the series.
The outfit:
Fan-head band,
Light yellow blouse with green around the ends of the sleeves,
Green robe (sleeveless),
Darker green belt & skirt,
Her foot wear: are brown boots,
Props are her yellow and gold fans,
Make-up white base, black eyeliner and mascara, red cream liner for the eyelids and lips. (will do a video for you, but if you look at a picture of her or Suki you'll get the idea)
All the fabric I got for $8-10 at a used clothing store (Value World) The Robe and skirts, they are all table cloths the light yellow shirt is a bed sheet. took about 2-3 hours to sew. The fans and headband about another 2-3 hours so about 4-6 hours total to make it. Not bad and my quickest cosplay to date :) very proud of this one, head band pics coming soon!
